This was a very short, very spur-of-the-moment shoot I did with my son Jonah back at the beginning of October. He had been wearing this vest around the house all day (with sweats and a tshirt, because he thought he looked cool) and I happened to notice the light was perfect out in our pasture, so I thew some better pants and shirt on him, grabbed a hat, and headed and outside. I think it took about 20 minutes, including a quick bike ride I promised him if he cooperated. Cute, isn't he?

Sarah and Pat were married in an amazingly sweet ceremony witnessed by only their closest friends and family. It was beautiful and perfect and I'm so glad I was able to capture their day for them!

I have been photographing this family since Makenna was 7 months old, and as always it was so much fun to see them again, but this time...this time was special. They recently adopted an adorable and sweet little girl, Mayah, from China. I loved meeting Mayah and capturing photos of her with her new family.
Meredith said she wanted these photos to show their family's joy and to show Mayah that she was celebrated. I think we accomplished that! They all seem head over heels for their new little girl!
