I have been such a blogging slacker this year - I never even got around to posting these photos from our spring break trip to Florida! This was our very first trip to Florida, and it was awesome. We went with my sister and her family and rented a house in Destin. We spent most of our time on the beach (other than when it was raining) and also spent a day in Panama City Beach at Shell Island and another at the Navy Aviation Museum and Fort Pickens in Pensacola. It was a great trip and I can't wait to go back again - hopefully next year!
We took our annual trip to Lake Michigan/Indiana Dunes in June. This was our 4th trip there so I think it's pretty safe to call it a tradition now. We already spent a week at the beach in Destin on spring break (and I STILL haven't blogged those photos!) so we just made this a day trip this time instead of our usual 3 or 4 days.
The weather was lovely, but as usual the water was freezing cold. I think it was somewhere in the 50's or low 60's. Crazy. We spend the afternoon on the beach, then left for supper (we went to Duneland Pizza and it was pretty amazing), then back to the beach to watch the sunset. It got super cloudy so it wasn't as spectacular as it usually is there, but it was still pretty and gave us some nice soft light for these photos. The kids weren't super thrilled about having to get nicer clothes on (nicer as in not shorts and swimsuits), but they were pretty good sports about having their photos taken.
This photo of me and my husband was taken by my oldest son, Joey!
We usually spend a few days at Lake Michigan in June or July every year. If you're be interested in a session on our next trip, let me know! I'm also available to travel at other times, or of course to do sessions closer to home (anywhere in Vermillion, Parke, and Vigo counties in Indiana).
