This is week 28 for the This is Our Life project and the theme is "adventure."
What greater way to have an adventure than through books? Except, of course, real adventure, but we generally make do with books.
The kids have always liked books, but even more than normal lately. Our living room always has at least three stacks of books at any time (even though they actually "belong" in the bedrooms), but it's one mess I actually don't mind too much.
Some of their favorites right now are the Magic Treehouse books; Captain Underpants; Fancy Nancy; the 39 Clues series; the Big Nate series; the Ramona books; Judy Moody; Tom Sawyer; any of the Junie B. Jones books; The Jesus Storybook Bible; Trucks, Cars, Trains, Airplanes, and Boats (a super cute series by Patricia Hubbell - the little boys LOVE those books!); and anything by Dr. Seuss or Shel Silverstein.
