Just a little head up: my rates will be increasing on Jan. 1st, so if you're planning a session for next year and want to lock in this years' rates, you'll need to pay your session fee in full by December 31st. You can also purchase gift certificates at this years' rates - they don't expire so you can use them whenever.
I was so excited when Nicole contacted me about a last minute session last week. We did their session at Deming Park in Terre Haute and the weather couldn't have been more perfect that day. I love that they brought their dogs for a few of the photos!

To see more from this session, head on over to my facebook page!

I’m SO thankful for a business I love! I feel honored and blessed every time a family invites me to capture memories for them. So, as a little thank you, I’m offering a pretty awesome deal from today through Nov.24. All sessions purchased and weddings booked this week will be 25% off. There’s no limit, and your session(s) can be scheduled for a future date or given as gifts. This is the only time of the year that I discount sessions, so make sure you take advantage of it! Hope you all have an awesome Thanksgiving!

You can purchase your choice of sessions below via paypal, or if you prefer to pay with cash or check, please email me at amy@amyfoltz.net.

I met up with Nick and Kelly and Lucas at their home Saturday morning for their second session. I first met them last year for Lucas's one year session. He's grown so much since then, and wow, he is quite the talker now!

We started the session in their living room with some books and toys, and a little bit of peek-a-boo.

We tried to do some shots in the bedroom too, but Lucas wasn't too crazy about that idea. Two-year-olds are usually pretty opinionated, and not easy to reason with, so the best thing to do is just let them run the show. That's not parenting advice, just photo session advice.

Lucas is a smart and talkative little guy and SO stinking cute!

Our original plan was to start out at their house, then head to a park or downtown for the rest of the session. Well, the weather didn't cooperate and it was raining and sleeting pretty much through the whole session, so that idea was out. We did venture out onto their front porch for a little bit and I'm so glad we did - I love the images we got.

This one (below) is my absolute favorite from the whole session. Look how happy they all are!

I've talked with Sabria's mom about her senior photos off and on for a while, and we were finally able to find a day that worked for all of us. We met at Fowler Park early on a (very cold) Saturday morning last month.

I love the light in this first image. We met at just the right time. If we had met just half an hour later this spot wouldn't have worked at all, so I think it was worth getting up early on a Saturday and having numb toes for a while.

I love pretty much everything about this image. The light, the location, the color, her smile. It's all pretty much perfect.

I think she looks absolutely beautiful in this one. Love her eyes!

After the drought we had here in Indiana this summer, I was not expecting a pretty fall. I expected all the leaves to just turn brown and fall, but I'm happy to say I was wrong! It was gorgeous here all month. Unfortunately, between sessions and Joey's football games, we didn't have nearly as much time as I would have liked to enjoy it, but we did our best.

Some rare photos of ME! Just hanging out with the kids in the backyard.

Lots of smiles and laughs from Jonah. He is at such a fun age right now (17 months).

Jack finally wrote his name...once. His daddy worked with him and got him to do it, but every time I suggest it he says "maybe later."

The biggest news of the month: My son is a Superbowl champ! His team (the South Vermillion Steelers) won the Wabash Valley Youth Football League Superbowl this year! They didn't have a great year last year, so we weren't really expecting this, but they did so good this year! They only lost one game all season, and it was only by 1 point (and they lost it to the team that was undefeated until the superbowl). So we're super super proud of Joey and the rest of the team this year. They worked so hard!

My accident-prone boy made it through the whole football season with no injuries, then the day after the superbowl was carving pumpkins at a scout meeting and cut his hand. One week and three stitches later, he's as good as new.

Funny faces from Jack. He's such a silly kid.

What's October without a leaf fight or two?

And last but not least, Halloween. This year wasn't nearly as awesome as last year's Star Wars theme (Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Queen Amidala, and Mace Windu), but they were still pretty cute. Jack wasn't really a fan of his Darth Vader mask so he didn't keep it on for long. Jonah got really hot in his chicken costume, but he was SO CUTE! He even won the award for best sibling costume at Joey's cub scout pack meeting. Abbie was a super pretty butterfly. Joey was a ninja. In case you didn't know, nine-year-old boys really like ninjas. Two other boys in his cub scout den had the same costume.

Abbie started dance class with a new teacher this month. She really likes it but I haven't taken any photos yet. We had our family photos taken (by the fabulous Julie Lawson) and she took some of her in her dance outfit too. I've only seen a little sneak peek so far, but I think I'm going to love them!

I hope you had a wonderful October too and hope you're ready for the crazy holiday season!

Join me on facebook as I share 30 Days of Thanksgiving with photos. I'd love to hear about what you're thankful for too!
