I loved seeing the Manicke family again last week! I photographed each of their amazing kiddos as babies but it's been a few years since the last session and of course I was blown away by how much these kids have grown and changed!
I had a wonderful time catching up with them and hearing about their time spent living in Switzerland earlier this year and about Kelly's new business, Elevate Functional Medicine, and of course about all of the kids' activities and favorite ice cream flavors (all family sessions should end with ice cream, whether it's photographed or not!)

It's always fun to see how much babies change and grow between sessions! I photographed little miss Julianna as a newborn, again at 6 months, then once more at one year. She is such a happy and adorable little girl! It was such a joy to document her first year for her sweet mama!
As usual, we did this session at their gorgeous Zionsville home. We started out in the front yard and even though it was still a little chilly that morning, she was all smiles.
Kelly is such a wonderful mom! It's clear how much she adores and enjoys all three of her kids.
Next, we headed up to the nursery. Julianna was laughing so hard during these photos below that I was briefly wishing I was a videographer instead! So fun!
Sure way to get a toddler to stand still for about 3 seconds at a time: let them play with something they're normally not allowed to touch!
This family loves books! Julianna was very picky about which books she wanted to look at and when Kelly handed her the right one she was so happy!
We finished this session off with a cake smash in their kitchen. Julianna was actually not thrilled about the cake and getting her hands messy. She came around after her mama handed her a fork! Then she tried to share her cake with us! Such a sweet girl!

I just love this family - I've been photographing Lucas since his first birthday session and Will since his newborn session. I've photographed them in three different homes, different parks, different cities, and every time they are sweet and adorable and full of spunk and laughter.
Kelly wanted plenty of photos of the everyday things they love to do together so we did a Storyteller session this time. The session lasted about three hours and was so much fun - we started off with a few photos on their front porch, then some basketball on the front lawn (Lucas insisted he needed to "do some sports"), then we headed to the back yard for a bit, then off to a park. Next, we headed downtown for some donuts, then back to their house for a cake smash for Will.
I love how many sweet little moments were captured in these photos, and how they work together to tell the story!
