I have a little advantage when I take photos of my own kids - I can wait for them to be in a cooperative mood (easy for Abbie - she loves having her photo taken!) and for the perfect light. Last Sunday when Abbie put this outfit on for church I knew it would be perfect for photos, and on our way home the clouds cleared and the light was perfect on this little stretch of road not far from our house. So we dropped the boys off at home and did these photos in about half an hour - I could have done lots more but it was getting late and that perfect light didn't last long.

Alison and Will's wedding is coming up this fall, and I'm so excited about it! They are a super sweet couple and I know it's going to be an awesome day. We met up last week at Fowler Park for their engagement session and I love the photos we got!

I photographed these adorable twins for the first time at their
newborn session last year, and their awesome mom asked me to come out again for their one-year photos. Abby and Emma are so stinking cute and they definitely kept me on my toes!
Their family moved to a new house since their newborn session, so it was fun to be able to shoot in a new place but still at home for them. We started out in the backyard then on to the master bedroom and living room. Even though this was a short and sweet session, I still think it's super important to get some lifestyle shots in there too.

I think this set of images is my favorite from the whole session (except maybe that first one in the wagon...that was pretty adorable too!). I love how these photos capture them just as they are...fun, crazy, always on the move, and of course cute as little buttons.

I've been photographing this sweet girl since she was 6 weeks old (longer if you count her mom's maternity photos!) and each and every time is more fun than the last. Elisabeth has grown up into a beautiful girl with a heart of gold. We did this session a few weeks ago to celebrate her 12th birthday. Time flies!
