This is Our Life - weeks 46 to 52 {Terre Haute lifestyle photographer}

So, between buying a house and moving and Christmas, I got a little behind on my "This is Our Life" project at the end of 2013. So most of these photos were not taken in the right weeks, but at least they got done!

For week 46 of the This is Our Life projectthe theme was "mystery." It's a mystery to me why these two can't seem to get along better and have more happy moments like this. They are both such awesome kids, and sometimes they surprise me by doing something awesome for each other, but for the most part they fight and bicker more than the other kids.

The theme for week 48 was "mealtime." This photo was taken the day we closed on our new house. We took the kids over, ate pizza on the floor, and set up the Christmas tree. Then we moved in two days later and had Christmas 4 days after that. Good times.

Week 49's theme was "passed down/tradition." We used to buy the kids Hallmark ornaments every year but that got expensive, plus some years we couldn't find one that we really liked. So a couple of years ago I started making these photo ornaments. I made one for each kid, plus one for me and Daniel, for each year. There are two pictures, their name, the year, and on the bottom there's a list of a few things they did or liked that year. Easy and cheap. So this is our new tradition. They love to see which photos I chose for the year and which things are on the bottom. It's fun to see how much they've changed and how similar the boys looked at the same ages.

The theme for week 50 was "reflect/reflections." I love our view of the sunset each evening at the new house and how it makes me remember God's awesomeness at the end of each day. The reflection of the sunset colors in the snow in this photo was a bonus.

Week 51's theme was "wild card" so I'm using this photo just because I love it. There's this mound of dirt in our back yard from some work that was done. Some people might be annoyed at that, but all I could think of was how much the kids would like it. I can't wait for some warmer (and hopefully less muddy) days ahead when the little boys can play with their tractors and trucks on it. But for now they're having fun just climbing on it.

The theme for the final week was "emotive." I took this photo while Jonah and I were walking out in the pasture. I love that he still likes to hold my hand....I know that won't last forever, and he's growing up so fast, so I'm trying to soak up all these sweet little moments while I can.

I really enjoyed doing this project this year and I'm excited to start documenting our life in 2014! I'm super excited for this year and all the fun times we'll have.
