Courtney + Derick's wedding day was so incredibly perfect - even though it rained, even though it was in the middle of a pandemic, it was so full of love and joy and I was so happy to be a part of it! They are absolutely perfect for each other and I wish them the best as they start their life together.
This gorgeous entry area is my favorite part of Stoney Ridge Event Center. It's such a perfect backdrop!
These matching pajamas were a fun alternative to the usual robes for the bridesmaids!
Courtney's dress was simple and elegant and I loved it so much - especially since it had pockets! I don't know why more dresses don't have pockets, honestly. It just makes sense.

For a country road, there were an awful lot of cars that drove by as we were trying to take these photos. Ok, it was probably 2 or maybe 3, but it was more than I expected.

First looks with dads are always awesome. I loved that Courtney's mom was here for this moment too!
Instead of a letter or card written just for the wedding, Derick gave Courtney a journal he kept while they were dating. It was pretty much the sweetest thing ever.
The girls had a great time before the ceremony!
I'm going to be perfectly honest here and admit that those two black and white photos above were not meant to look like that - my flash just didn't fire. But I love how they turned out anyway and as they say, creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes, and art is knowing which ones to keep!
Their ceremony was perfect, just like the rest of the day!
They had a friend who couldn't make it to the wedding, so they came up with a pretty great solution - a cardboard cutout and FaceTime to the rescue!
I don't normally blog the family photos (just to save space, not because I don't like them!) but these were too fun to not share!
It was still sprinkling rain just a bit but we decided to get a few photos outside anyway! Luckily there was just enough roof over the entry to keep them dry!
Derick's brother Jacob was his best man, and he did an amazing job on his toast, and then he went above and beyond and surprised them by singing a song he had written for them! It was definitely one of the best parts of the night!
