Abbie is my little muse - always willing to let me take photos and pose however I ask her to. She's even starting to learn about photography a little. I gave her a little lesson on looking for the light and using different focus points and she took the photo of me at the bottom. I love this girl!
These photos were taken on three different days, in different spots in our yard. It probably took no more than 15-20 minutes total to take the photos. I try not to make any of my kids pose for a long period of time since I ask them to do it so often.
This is the photo Abbie took of me - I think she did a pretty good job!

I forget how big I'm blessed"
- Francesca Battistelli
Having a family photoshoot is an investment, you'll have these photos forever, you'll love to look back at them in 20 years and see how much your kids have changed....blah, blah, blah. Yes, you WILL have them forever (hopefully), you WILL love them in 20 years, and your kids WILL change...a lot. But don't underestimate how important photos are for NOW, for your everyday. I can't tell you how many times I've been having a horrible day and feeling like I'm totally failing at this mom thing and nothing seems to be going right, and then looked up and saw photos on my wall of my kids laughing, hugging, and just being their awesome selves. It totally helps remind me of what's important, and how very, very blessed I really am. Sometimes I just need a reminder.
