Katie and I have been talking about her senior photo shoot for a while now, and we finally got to go out last night. After a couple of stops in Clinton, we headed out to Parke County. We stopped in Bridgeton and then a couple of random places on the way back home.

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about a lot of different things, one of those things being the way I run this business. I started out the way most photographers do... charging a small-ish session fee and then rely on print sales to actually make money. The more I think about it, the more I dislike that plan, for a few different reasons. The biggest reason, honestly, is that it makes me really sad when a client doesn't order my favorite image, or doesn't order all the photos they love because of limitations either on the budget or on wall space. I just wanted everyone to be able to have ALL their photos. As an artist, I get emotionally attached to the photos I make, and the whole purpose of those photos is to bring joy and preserve memories for families, and the photos can't help preserve memories if you don't have them! SO....I'm announcing a new, much simpler pricing! Now the session fee will include ALL edited images on DVD, with a print release so you can have them printed at the lab of your choice, AND a small album! Jack is SUCH a little stinker lately! Luckily, he's also VERY cute and adorable and sweet, so it all evens out!
