I took my kids out for a little photo shoot yesterday afternoon. Abbie wasn't really too happy for most of the time we were out, so I tried to keep it short. I always ask them (well, the oldest two anyway) if they want to do pictures. If they don't (and won't be bribed) I don't even attempt a photo shoot. Luckily, they're usually happy to pose for me. So yesterday I asked her and she seemed very excited about it, so we drove up to Rockville. There's this really cool staircase and red wall there that I've been wanting to use for a long time, so I thought this would be a good time. Well, I should have known better than to try to take photos when it should have been nap time...Abbie was cold and tired and that is NOT a good combination for her! She's usually ok to skip a nap, but I forgot that she missed it on Saturday too. So anyway, I felt like a rotten mom for dragging her out, but I think I got some cute shots anyway!

Jack is 10 months old now! It won't be long before he's walking and talking. I am SO not ready for that yet! The first year always goes by so fast!

A few years ago, I hit some yard sales and thrift shops and collected some cool old cameras. I got a few of them out to use for props for this shoot. The kids were fascinated and terribly confused by this one, an old TLR (twin lens reflex).

Every time I ask Joey to pose for me, I always have to take turns with him. He'll try one of my ideas, then he'll get to try one of his own. This one was his idea. Sometimes it's really best to let kids do their own thing!

Nichole!!!!! I'll get your gift certificates to you next week, just give me a call or send me an email to schedule your session! Everyone else who entered the contest is also going to receive a $50 gift certificate. So if you entered, send me an email (to foltzphoto@aol.com) with your address and I'll get it to you!
Just a few more to share from last week's family session...

This photo shoot was originally planned for Mansfield, but got changed at the last minute to their backyard. I think it worked out really well... they were wanting new family photos to hang in their new house, and what better place for family photos than your own home?

Just one week left in my big giveaway contest...for all the details, scroll down past the baby pictures! You could WIN TWO FREE GIFT CERTIFICATES!
Here are few more favorites of the little princess!

I have been waiting such a long time to be able to take these photos!!! These are my very very good friends and their new little princess. Aren't they the sweetest little family?!? She's not even a week old yet and already has mommy and daddy wrapped around her little finger! I just love these photos so much...we've been friends for a really long time and it's so cool to see them as a family now!!! I'm sure I'll be posting more from this session when I finish editing! Wow, that was a lot of exclamation points...can you tell I'm SO EXCITED?!?!?!?!?!?

Ok, so did you see the pictures of the adorable gift certificates in my last post? Want to know how to get not one, but TWO, for FREE? Here's the deal: I want you to think about your family right now, about what you want to remember about this time in your life. Then think about what kind of photographs would best represent that. Does a certain location or activity come to mind, or just a certain "look" you're looking for? Ok, have some ideas? Either leave a comment here on the blog or on my facebook fan page and on November 21st I will use random.org to pick a winner. The winner will get a certificate for $120 (enough for a session and a 16x20) AND a $75 certificate (enough for a session and an 8x10) to give away. Great deal, huh? A free session for you AND a free Christmas gift. Can't get much better than that. So start thinking! I want to hear your most creative ideas!

Just three little rules: the two gift certificates will expire in April 2010, they can't be used together or with any other offer, and the location you choose for your session must be in Vermillion, Vigo or Parke county in Indiana (unless you want to pay travel fees).
Just in time for the holidays, gift certificates are here! This would make a perfect gift for almost anyone on your list! They come packaged in a tin with tissue, ready to give! Gift certificates are available for any amount and are good for one year. Stay tuned, I'll be posting details of a BIG giveaway tomorrow!

Sorry it's been a while since I posted anything, October is always a busy month for me! Here are a few pictures of my kids enjoying fall.
