Jack turned four months old last week! Gone are the days when I could lay him on a blanket or his play mat and expect him to stay there...he is rolling everywhere! He's up to 16 lbs., 25.5 inches and has been laughing and playing with toys...such a difference from the grumpy little boy I had just a few months ago! He is so happy and loves all people, but I love the huge smiles I get when I walk in the room! He's definitely a mama's boy...not that there's anything wrong with that! He also loves his Daddy and brother and sister, and I'm sure they can't wait until he's a little bigger so he can really play with them. He is such a joy, and I am so thankful that God decided to send this little surprise our way!

When my parents were dating, everyone told them it was just "puppy love" and that they would never last. Well, I think they've proved them wrong...they've been married almost 36 years now! They have been through so much together, and I think it's awesome that they haven't let anything tear them apart.

My wonderful husband and I have been together for TWELVE years now!!! We starting dating (even though I wasn't technically allowed to "date" yet) when I was 15 and he was 14....wow, that seems like SUCH a long time ago! Just a note to any silly girls out there afraid to date a friend, thinking it might ruin your friendship if it doesn't work out...just do it! Seriously, that was one of the absolute BEST decisions I have ever made. It's amazingly awesome being married to my best friend, and I can't even imagine my life any other way! He is so wonderful and thoughtful and sweet, and he is the BEST dad I could ask for for our kids. Our wedding anniversary is coming up too (it will be 7 years on June 7th), but this anniversary is our favorite...it took a lot of commitment and determination (oh, and love) to make it all this time without ever breaking up or even having any arguments that lasted longer than a day. I feel so crazy blessed and so lucky to be married to this amazing man!
These are the roses he surprised me with this week. I don't get flowers a lot, so it was a nice surprise!

Dandelions....I don't why, but there seems to be way more than normal this year. So...might as well take pictures of them, right?
